Hello. My name is Miss Kropa. I am the Special Education Resource teacher at Frederick Classical Charter School. This is my second year teaching at FCCS, as well as in Frederick County. I currently work with students grades Kindergarten through 8th grade.
I am originally from northeastern Pennsylvania and spent my first 22 years of life there. My immediate family still lives there and I enjoy visiting frequently.
I attended Bloomsburg University in central Pennsylvania from 2005-2009. I received a dual degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. While attending Bloomsburg University, I also played field hockey and won three National Championships.
After completing my degree, I moved to Raleigh, NC and taught one year in Vance County as a 5th grade teacher. I decided I liked the beach much more and moved to Onslow County, which is also in North Carolina. I taught 9th-12th grade Curriculum Assistance for three years. Even though I thoroughly enjoyed the beach life, my other half received orders to Frederick, MD in 2013. Shortly after moving, I accepted a job in D.C. as a Pre-School through 5th grade Resource teacher. Although I loved teaching in D.C., the commute was very hard. After going to an open house for FCCS, I knew I wanted to be a part of the FCCS community.
I enjoy being active. I competed in my first Tough Mudder on September 27, 2014 in West Virginia and the Zombie Mud Dog run on October 4, 2014. I recently ran a Spartan race and will complete another Tough Mudder in October. I spend my Saturdays during the fall watching Notre Dame football games. I have two boxers, which I consider my four-legged children. Most of my free time is spent with them. I have a strong dislike for cockroaches.
